Language confusion!

Chilly spring evening
Je vais à long de ma rue
Deux hommes boivent les bières, perlent aussi.
Un sur la rue l'autre reste à la fenêtre dans le séjour
Det ser virkelig hyggeligt ud.

Seagulls!

The other day I was walking along the riverside. There was a beautiful light on the sky, which was in between blue and sunny and threatening dark grey clouds. Sometimes the sun came out or was hiding behind the sky only to make a purple light across the river.
On a long walking bridge two men were standing with a dog and feeding the seagulls. They greeted me and asked me where I was from when the learned I wasn’t French. As I was walking away the guy called after me saying that maybe we would meet another day.
On my way back there were still standing there with their baguette in their hands throwing a little lump out among the birds from time to time. The birds circling around their heads fighting for every bite.  As I cam e closer the other guy looked at me and yelled
“Ce n’est pas joli?”
I stopped for a second and talked to them, they asked my name and I leaned that they were Fred and Mathieu.  By their look they could have been homeless, but I don’t know. I took their picture and then I wished them a nice day. As I was walking away I could not help but think about how little we humans sometimes need to make us feel happiness. If they were in fact homeless they were using their baguette for the joy of seeing the birds on the great looking scenery of the sky and riverside and their joy and friendliness made me think about the simplicity that live sometimes can offer and it made me fell joy as well.

Birds In The Sky!

Earlier today when I came riding down the street I couldn’t help but notice a large flock of birds circulating the sky over a square. They were flying from one roof to another just to turn around and fly back to the roof they had just returned from. It was like there were some kind of danger awaiting them, which made it impossible to find somewhere save to land.
They seemed in deed frantic and in a way I felt a bit sorry for them. On the other hand it was quite a beautiful sight, which made me think of “sort sol”.

Thumb Twiddling!

Sometimes I come across people whose behavior is out of the ordinary. Someone who stands out and who is easy to remember out of the crowd you walk among very day. One of the reasons I love public transportation is the variety of people gathered in one common place. To be honest I love to just sit and study people on their way somewhere.
In London I prefer to go around by bus. The Tube I mostly find to be a horrible place. It is loud, crammed, warm and smelly. But one thing I like in comparison to other forms of public transportation, is that you walk in to this capsule, a place where you are disconnected from the outside world. I find that even though the train is loud, the Tube has a certain silence that you don’t come across anywhere else in London.

I became aware of this when I man sat down next to me and started to twiddle his thumbs.  As a child I was taught thumb twiddling as a form of occupation. Something you would do only when you are extremely bored and can’t come up with something else.  I was also taught that it is a virtue to find piece within your own boredom instead of trying to repel it.  I guess it is true, that you need to understand boredom in order to appreciate the opposite.

To see this old fashion gesture in a time where people needs constant frivolous or intellectual feeding was beautiful, and it made me smile. It is something I haven’t seen in ages, and probably wont again for long. It was a short escape from reality as he after a while took out his I Phone, which he sat with until he got off.
But his action made my day, as it triggered my memory to thinking about the time where we were not able to connect with everybody anywhere we went.
